Notes

3rd place out of 8, went 2-0-1. First match against W/U fliers I controlled the game before they could get anything online, and I won 2-0. Second match versus R/B firebending goodstuff I got wrecked - they got Fire Lord Ozai our both games, and I couldn't remove their threats before they killed me. I meant to sideboard in Zuko's Exile in the 2nd game but I forgot; they beat me 0-2. Then in match 3 I played against another W/U deck and again controlled the game very well - we were both playing around It'll Quench Ya from each other, I managed to force it out of his hand with a well-timed Ozai's Cruelty. Octopus Form came in clutch against Aang, Swift Savior when they tried to airbend my attacker. Obsessive Pursuit was an all-star in this deck, though in one game against the R/B player I lost a ton of life to it (but I also flooded out).

Overall a super fun deck to play, even though I only had the single lessons payoff it worked out well. I perhaps should have picked a late Serpent of the Pass during the draft as another threat, but at that point in the draft I was considering only splashing blue. Having most of my blue cards be lessons made my White Lotus Hideout effectively another blue source which came in clutch at times. The only game I played Ran and Shaw with 3 lessons in the yard I had already dominated (first match) (my opponent was also land screwed in that game) so I never really got the full lessons payoff. Azula, Cunning Usurper was really strong as removal and value.
